Personal advice

We offer you personal advice on development and setup questions comfortably at home. Just a few easy-to-assemble and safe movement elements, like a climbing triangle, change your child's activity level and thus their mood for the better. But that is only the beginning; with us, you can turn your home into a place where your child can always follow their need for movement and relaxation, and then something magical happens—as if by magic, calmness settles in with you, in your child, and in you!

We are Isabell, Erik, and Kosmo. We founded Kletterling out of necessity: Quality is so often feigned with marketing nonsense. We want as much clarity as possible. What material is my child's toy made of, where does it come from, and were chemicals used? How is the safety, and is it really made in Europe? Made in China, assembled in Germany, and then called Made in Germany does not exist with us. All products come from small makers in Europe, to whom we give their well-deserved platform here. Often, the problem lies in customer service in a foreign language, which we fully take over because we love to be in contact with you, which unfortunately is becoming rarer nowadays.

Also, when you buy from us, you use secure payment methods in Germany from a German company, which gives you a good feeling and security so that you can fully focus on why you are here: to find the right movement toy for your child.

Thank you for your trust!

Find a child's bed: Tips for safety and creativity

A child's bed is more than just where your child rests at night. It is an important place for safety, comfort and your child's development. When searching for the perfect bed, ask yourself which features matter most: safety, style, or perhaps adaptability as your child grows?

From classic designs to modern, multifunctional beds - the selection can be overwhelming. In this article you'll learn which factors to consider to find the ideal child's bed that is not only practical but also fosters your child's creativity and dreams. Let's discover the perfect sleeping space for your child together.

Choosing the right model

Choosing the ideal child's bed is an important decision for your child's development and well-being. In this section we look at the key aspects of material and safety as well as size and design to help you make the perfect choice.

Material and safety

The choice of material and safety features are crucial.
Wood, known for its durability and natural aesthetic, is a popular choice. Make sure the wood is pollutant-free and sustainably sourced.
Solid wood beds offer durability and a sturdy construction.

Safety aspects such as a guardrail are essential, especially for younger children. Models with guardrails - like the bed on legs with a variable railing all around- guarantee your child sleeps safely at night. Corners and edges should also be rounded to prevent injuries.

Size and design

The size of the child's bed should be able to grow with your child.
A bed that is extendable, for example to a 140x200 child's bed, is a practical option since it can be used for many years.
Designs vary widely - from simple, sleek models to play-focused designs like a child's bed with a slide.

Choose a bed that provides enough space for children's creativity. For shared children's rooms, bunk beds or sibling beds could be interesting options to make optimal use of the space.

Popular child's bed models

Discover beds that combine safety and creativity and find out which model is best for your child.

Themed beds for children

Themed beds transform any children's room into a vivid world of imagination. A bed-house for children, for example, encourages your child's creativity and gives them a personal retreat. Models like a fairy-tale princess bed or a fire truck bed are not just beds but also play environments that stimulate children's imagination. Pay attention to the size to ensure the bed matches your child's age and, ideally, is equipped so it can grow with your child.

Loft beds and multifunctional beds

Loft beds are excellent if you want to save space in the children's room. They often offer additional storage such as drawers or integrated wardrobes. A loft bed for children is practical because the area underneath can be used as a play or work area. Functional beds like a child's bed with a slide add extra fun. They are also available in versions with guardrails, making them a safe choice for younger children. These beds offer flexible solutions for smaller rooms and increase the efficiency of any children's room.

Important features of a child's bed

An optimal child's bed combines functionality with safety and promotes your child's development and creativity. Below you will learn which specific features distinguish a good child's bed.

Integrated storage

A child's bed with integrated storage is ideal when space in the children's room is limited. Beds with built-in drawers or compartments under the sleeping surface provide space for toys, bedding and clothing. This keeps the room tidy and organized. Particularly practical are 90x200 children's beds with generous drawers that are easy to open and offer plenty of storage. This feature makes it easier for you to keep the room organized while quickly accessing frequently used items.

Extendability and adaptability

Extendable children's beds adapt to your child's growth and therefore offer a long-term solution. A pull-out child's bed can be gradually expanded from a smaller size, such as 80x160, to full size (140x200). Such beds are especially useful because they not only save space but also ease the transition from a toddler bed to a larger bed. A bed that grows with your child ensures you don't constantly have to buy a new bed, which is both economical and practical.

Care and maintenance of children's beds

Caring for a child's bed means ensuring durability and safety. It is essential to handle both daily cleaning and long-term maintenance of your child's bed correctly.

Cleaning tips

For everyday cleanliness, regularly remove dust and dirt with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents that could damage the bed's material. For wooden children's beds, it is advisable to use special wood cleaners that protect and care for the material. Make sure all bed components are dry to prevent mold. A weekly deep clean helps minimize allergy-causing agents like dust mites.

Long-term maintenance

To protect and extend the life of the child's bed, regularly check all screws and connections and tighten them if necessary. For adjustable children's beds, such as an extendable bed, it is important to regularly inspect and lubricate the mechanisms to maintain functionality. If your child's bed is made of wood, treatment with a suitable wood preservative can help protect the material from wear and moisture. Ensure all safety certifications are still valid and that the bed has no sharp edges or loose parts that could pose a hazard.

Conclusion

Choosing the right child's bed is crucial for your child's safety and well-being. It's worth investing in a model that grows with your child and stimulates their creativity. Make sure the bed is not only functional and safe but also meets your child's needs. With the right considerations and careful selection, the child's bed will become a loving and inspiring part of the children's room.
